A Journey to YAAS (Yet Another Adaptive Scheduler)

This talk will present the path I traversed from metaheuristics to parallel metaheuristics in the search of a better scheduler for High Performance Computing. In the end PACO became my friend though Tabu and GA were sometimes close companions (among others). I will delve more into parallel metaheuristics as it is part of the research I am doing in soft computing and computational intelligence.
