Foraging strategies of artificial ants
Speaker: Chris Marriott, University of Waterloo
Biologists note that the particular foraging strategy of an ant colony
is best viewed as emerging from the interaction of many factors in the
individual ant's simple behavioural strategy, its environment, and the
colony's social history. This talk will investigate the strengths and
weaknesses of two distinct foraging strateges of artificial ants as a
function of colony size and food distribution.
